Aro Valley Cafe

What can you do on winters day in Wellington when the southerly sweeps sleety showers over the city? How about lunch in cosy cafe? This July Sunday after the vege markets we found a new haunt amongst the Aro Valley Shops. It was only 4 degrees outside (so the veges in the starlet were effectively already 'in the fridge') and the Deli-Aro had hot soup and fresh bread. Anyway this isn't an entry about cafes, but about my beautiful wife and son. The winter sunshine was peeping through the clearing storm clouds and bathed the front window of the cafe in a wonderful soft light. I think that's why these photos have worked out so well. Sometimes photos can disappoint, such as when you snap somone in motion, and the captured frozen expression is not as you perceive them in life. These are not those kind of photos.
