Back Home Again

Singapore Airlines took us from Copenhagen to Singapore, across Europe and the wastelands of Kazakstan and Afgahnistan where I watched the last rays of the sun on the bare rock crags and bluffs that make up that part of the world. It looked quite a bit like the inland Kaikoura ranges of NZ's South Island for anyone who has driven through the Molesworth, execept it went on for hundreds of kilometres without change.

We touched down at dawn Singapore time which was after midnight body clock time and found our way straight a transit motel int he airport for a sleep. Guy was not happy on the 13 hour trip from Copenhagen, and none of us got much sleep. Maybe it was his teeth, the night before we left we felt the first little pinprick on his botton jaw. Anyway we woke up late afternoon Singapore time and went for a walk around the terminal looking unsuccessfully or appetising food, Guy had fun trying to wiggle out of Katrina's arms to see the carp in the pond.

This next photo I have included as it was so typical of our travels. We are waiting In Auckland domestic terminal for our final domestic flight, I look grumpy because it was delayed 2 hours on top of the 4 hour stop over after a 12 hour fliht from Singapore. It also shows what a wonderful little baby Guy was, stretched out to sleep, unworried by his surroundings.

When we got back to the winter storms in Wellington it was great to find a package from my Mum who had knitted this Jersey for Guy, as you can see he is pretty pleased about it too.
