Jack and Katrina's Place

We've bought a new car! We have been trying to manage with just one car, for environmental reasons as well as the cost, time and space hassles of being a two car family. But with the February 09 move of Guy's creche from its present location 800m away to a new location 3.5 km away we realised that walking to creche would go from 'often possible' to 'almost never possible'. So we needed a second car. We have been looking at a few, but small cars are holding their value at the moment while big four door cars can be had for a song. On the way home from dropping off Katrina's boss on friday we saw this little 1987 Starlet for sale. It is in really nice condition, 156 000km in 20 years, 15 years with one owner. Best of all it fits in the driveway and still lets me come and go on the mountainbike. Looking at it in the driveway, the idea of extending one or other of the roof lines to enclose it in a tandem garage, is also a possibility. Aahh one job done, and another raises it 's head!
